50 C.F.R. § 18.129 — Information collection requirements.

§ 18.129 Information collection requirements. (a) We may not conduct or sponsor and a person is not required to respond to a collection of information unless it displays a currently valid Office of Management and Budget (OMB) control number. OMB has approved the collection of information contained in this subpart and assigned OMB control number 1018–0070. You must respond to this information collection request to obtain a benefit pursuant to section 101(a)(5) of the Marine Mammal Protection Act. We will use the information to: (1) Evaluate the request and determine whether or not to issue specific Letters of Authorization; and (2) Monitor impacts of activities and effectiveness of mitigation measures conducted under the Letters of Authorization. (b) Comments regarding the burden estimate or any other aspect of this requirement must be submitted to the Information Collection Clearance Officer, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, at the address listed in 50 CFR 2.1.
