46 C.F.R. § 90.01.1 — Purpose of regulations.
§ 90.01–1 Purpose of regulations. The purpose of the regulations in this subchapter is to set forth uniform minimum requirements for cargo and miscellaneous vessels, as listed in Column 5 of table 90.05–1(a). The regulations in this subchapter (parts 90, 91, 92, 93, 95, 96, 97, 98, and 105) have preemptive effect over State or local regulation within the same fields.
