20 C.F.R. § 404.1014 — Domestic service by a student for a local college club, fraternity or sorority.

§ 404.1014 Domestic service by a student for a local college club, fraternity or sorority. (a) General. If you are a student and do work of a household nature in or about the club rooms or house of a local college club or local chapter of a college fraternity or sorority, and are enrolled and regularly attending classes at a school, college, or university, your work is not covered as employment. (b) Explanation of terms —(1) Work of a household nature means the type of work done by cooks, waiters, butlers, maids, janitors, laundresses, furnacemen, handymen, gardeners, housekeepers and housemothers. (2) A local college club or local chapter of a college fraternity or sorority does not include an alumni club or chapter. Also, if the club rooms or house are used mostly for supplying board or lodging to students or nonstudents as a business, the work done is not excluded by this section.
