§9776. Emergency construction: fortifications

If in an emergency the President considers it urgent, a temporary installation or fortification may be built on private land if the owner consents in writing.

Amendments 2021—Pub. L. 116–283 substituted "installation" for "air base". 1970—Pub. L. 91–393 struck out "In such a case, section 175 of title 50 does not apply."
