§ 71.1 Purpose of part. This part implements section 11 of the Coastal Barrier Resources Act (Pub. L. 97–348) and section 9 of the Coastal Barrier Improvement Act of 1990 (Pub. L. 101–591), as those Acts amend the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 (42 U.S.C. 4001 et seq. ). [48 FR 37039, Aug. 16, 1983, as amended at 57 FR 22661, May 29, 1992]
