43 C.F.R. § 46.10 — Purpose of this part.
§ 46.10 Purpose of this part. (a) This part establishes procedures for the Department, and its constituent bureaus, to use for compliance with: (1) The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, as amended (42 U.S.C. 4321 et seq. ); and (2) The Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) regulations for implementing the procedural provisions of NEPA (40 CFR parts 1500–1508). (b) Consistent with 40 CFR 1500.3, it is the Department's intention that any trivial violation of these regulations will not give rise to any independent cause of action.
