43 C.F.R. § 3172.1 — Authority.
§ 3172.1 Authority. (a) This subpart is established pursuant to the authority granted to the Secretary of the Interior pursuant to various Federal and Indian mineral leasing statutes and the Federal Oil and Gas Royalty Management Act of 1982. This authority has been delegated to the Bureau of Land Management and is implemented by the onshore oil and gas operating regulations contained in 43 CFR part 3160. (b) Specific authority for the provisions contained in this subpart is found at: 43 CFR 3162.3–1, 3162.3–4, 3162.4–1, 3162.4–3, 3162.5–1, 3162.5–2 (see paragraph (a)), and 3162.5–3; and 43 CFR part 3160, subpart 3163.
