Definitions.

§ 86.2 Definitions. Any term not defined herein shall have the same meaning as given it in the Act. As used in this part: (a) Act means the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (29 U.S.C. 651 et seq. ). (b) [Reserved] (c) Secretary means the Secretary of Health and Human Services and any other officer or employee of the Department of Health and Human Services to whom the authority involved has been delegated. (d) State means a State of the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, and the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands. (e) Training means job-specific skill development, the purpose of which is to provide qualified personnel to carry out the purposes of the Act.
