42 C.F.R. § 61.5 — Qualifications.

§ 61.5 Qualifications. In order to qualify for a regular fellowship, an applicant must: (a) Meet the Public Health Service requirements of general suitability, including professional and personal fitness. (b) Have been accepted by a public or other nonprofit institution for the purpose of the activity for which the fellowship is sought. (c) Be free from any disease or disability that would interfere with the accomplishment of the fellowship purpose. (d) If a citizen or noncitizen national of the United States, sign and file with the Surgeon General the following statement: I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I bear true faith and allegiance to the United States of America and will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States against all its enemies, foreign and domestic. (e) Comply with such other requirements as may be prescribed by the Surgeon General.
