Definitions.

§ 59.202 Definitions. As used in this subpart: (a) Act means the Public Health Service Act. (b) State means one of the 50 States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, or the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands. (c) Nonprofit private entity means a private entity no part of the net earnings of which inures, or may lawfully inure, to the benefit of any private shareholder or individual. (d) Secretary means the Secretary of Health and Human Services and any other officer or employee of the Department of Health and Human Services to whom the authority involved has been delegated. (e) Training means job-specific skill development, the purpose of which is to promote and improve the delivery of family planning services.
