29 C.F.R. § 15.200 — What is a claim under the MPCECA and who may file such a claim?

§ 15.200 What is a claim under the MPCECA and who may file such a claim? (a) A claim under the MPCECA for damage or loss is allowable only if the property involved was being used incident to service with the Department. (b) A claim may be made under this subpart by an employee of the Department or by a spouse or authorized agent, or legal representative on behalf of the employee. If the employee is deceased, the claim may be filed by a survivor in the following order of preference: Spouse, children, parent, brother or sister or the authorized agent or legal representative of such person or persons. (c) An MPCECA claim may not be made by or for the benefit of an insurance company, subrogee, assignee, conditional vendor or other third party.
