25 C.F.R. § 140.23 — Credit at trader's risk.
§ 140.23 Credit at trader's risk. Credit given Indians will be at the trader's own risk, as no assistance will be given by Government officials in the collection of debts against Indians. Traders shall not accept pawns or pledges of personal property by Indians to obtain credit or loans.
