25 C.F.R. § 11.1210 — Duration and renewal of a regular protection order.

§ 11.1210 Duration and renewal of a regular protection order. An order of protection granted by the court: (a) Is effective for a fixed period of time, which is up to a maximum of 6 months; and (b) May be extended for good cause upon motion of the petitioner for an additional period of up to 6 months each time a petition is presented. A petitioner may request as many extensions as necessary provided that the court determines that good cause exists.
