24 C.F.R. § 50.22 — Environmental management and monitoring.

§ 50.22 Environmental management and monitoring. An Environmental Management and Monitoring Program shall be established prior to project approval when it is deemed necessary by the HUD approving official. The program shall be part of the approval document and must: (a) Be concurred in by the Field Environmental Clearance Officer (FECO) (in the absence of a FECO, by the Program Environmental Clearance Officer in Headquarters) and any cooperating agencies; (b) Contain specific standards, safeguards and commitments to be completed during project implementation; (c) Identify the staff who will be responsible for the post-approval inspection; and (d) Specify the time periods for conducting the evaluation and monitoring the applicant's compliance with the project agreements.
