21 C.F.R. § 520.28 — Acetazolamide.

§ 520.28 Acetazolamide. (a) Specifications. A powder containing acetazolamide sodium, USP equivalent to 25 percent acetazolamide activity. (b) Sponsor. See No. 054771 in § 510.600(c) of this chapter. (c) Conditions of use in dogs —(1) Amount. Administer orally at a dosage of 5 to 15 milligrams per pound of body weight daily. (2) Indications for use. As an aid in the treatment of mild congestive heart failure and for rapid reduction of intraocular pressure. (3) Limitations. Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian. [79 FR 28816, May 20, 2014]
