10 C.F.R. § 708.10 — Informal resolution of complaints.
§ 708.10 Informal resolution of complaints. (a) DOE encourages the use of alternative dispute resolution. If the parties are willing, they can seek to utilize alternative dispute resolution techniques, such as settlement discussions or mediation, in an attempt to resolve the complaint. (b) The parties may engage in alternative dispute resolution at any time prior to the issuance of an initial agency decision. (c) If the parties resolve the complaint informally, the Head of Field Element, EC Director, and the Office of Hearings and Appeals must be given a copy of the settlement agreement or a written statement from the employee that withdraws the complaint.
