Idaho Code § 72-527 — Civil Penalty For Surety’S Misrepresentation — Duty Of Attorney General.

TITLE 72 WORKER’S COMPENSATION AND RELATED LAWS — INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION CHAPTER 5 INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION 72-527. Civil penalty for surety’s misrepresentation — Duty of attorney general. Any surety who shall wilfully misrepresent the amount to be paid into the state treasury under the provisions of this law shall be liable to the state for an amount ten (10) times the difference between the payment made and the amount that should have been paid had such misrepresentation not been made; the liability to the state under this section shall be enforced in a civil action brought by the attorney general in the name of the state in the proper court, and the amount collected shall be paid into the state treasury to be deposited in the industrial administration fund.
