Complaints

TITLE 54 PROFESSIONS, VOCATIONS, AND BUSINESSES CHAPTER 37 OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY PRACTICE ACT 54-3716. complaints. (1) Any person may file a complaint with the board against any licensed occupational therapist or licensed occupational therapy assistant in the state charging that person with having violated the provisions of this chapter. (2)  The complaint shall specify charges in sufficient detail so as to disclose to the accused fully and completely the alleged acts of misconduct for which he or she is charged. (3)  Upon receiving a complaint, the board shall notify the licensee of the complaint and request a written response from the licensee. (4)  The board shall keep an information file about each complaint filed with the board. The information in each complaint file shall contain complete, current and accurate information including, but not limited to: (a)  All persons contacted in relation to the complaint; (b)  A summary of findings made at each step of the complaint process; (c)  An explanation of the legal basis and reason for a complaint that is dismissed; and (d)  Other relevant information.
