Qualifications Of Commissioners — Term And Organization

TITLE 54 PROFESSIONS, VOCATIONS, AND BUSINESSES CHAPTER 20 IDAHO REAL ESTATE LICENSE LAW 54-2006. Qualifications of commissioners — term and organization. (1) Four (4) members of the commission shall be actively licensed Idaho-designated real estate brokers or associate brokers who have had at least five (5) years’ active license experience as a designated broker or associate broker in the real estate business in Idaho. One (1) member shall be a member of the public from the state at large with an interest in the rights of consumers of real estate services. (2)  Each regular appointment, other than an appointment to fill an unexpired term, shall commence on July 1 of the year of appointment and be for a term of four (4) years. Each commissioner shall hold office until a qualified successor is appointed. Upon the death, resignation or removal of any member of the commission, the governor shall appoint a qualified person to fill out the unexpired term. (3)  Each year, the commission shall call a meeting and elect a chair, a vice chair, and a commissioner to serve on the Idaho real estate education council. Thereafter, the chair may call meetings of the commission whenever he or she deems it advisable, but if the chair refuses to call a meeting upon written demand of a quorum of the commission, then such members may call the meeting.
