Idaho Code § 49-2435 — Ridesharing Arrangements Are Nonprofit.

TITLE 49 MOTOR VEHICLES CHAPTER 24 MISCELLANEOUS 49-2435. Ridesharing arrangements are nonprofit. Ridesharing arrangements using a motor vehicle with a seating capacity for not more than fifteen (15) persons, including the driver, shall be deemed nonprofit even though the driver, owner or lessee receives compensation for operating and maintaining the vehicle and a reasonable amount of compensation for the driver’s services. No household shall operate more than one (1) vehicle with a capacity of seven (7) to fifteen (15) persons in a ridesharing arrangement at one (1) time.
