Idaho Code § 49-1601A — Legislative Findings And Intent.

TITLE 49 MOTOR VEHICLES CHAPTER 16 DEALERS AND SALESMEN LICENSING 49-1601A. LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS AND INTENT. (1) The legislature finds that the distribution and sale of motor vehicles within this state vitally affects the general economy of the state, the public interest, and the public welfare. (2)  In order to promote the public interest and the public welfare and in the exercise of the state’s police power, it is necessary to regulate motor vehicle manufacturers, distributors, and factory or distributor representatives and to regulate dealers of motor vehicles doing business in this state in order to prevent frauds, impositions, and other abuses on its citizens and to protect and preserve the investments and properties of the citizens of this state. (3)  The provisions of this chapter shall be construed and applied to accomplish the purposes provided for in this section.
