TITLE 45 LIENS, MORTGAGES AND PLEDGES CHAPTER 6 CLAIMS FOR WAGES 45-603. Preference of wages — Death of employer. In case of the death of any employer, the wages of each employee for services rendered within the sixty (60) days preceding the death of the employer, not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500), rank in priority next after the funeral expenses, expenses of the last sickness, the charges and expenses of administering the estate, and the allowance of the surviving spouse and minor children, and must be paid before any other claims against the estate of the deceased person.
