TITLE 41 INSURANCE CHAPTER 2 THE DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE 41-214. Records — Reproduction — Destruction. (1) The director shall preserve in permanent form records of his proceedings and hearings and including a concise statement of the results of any investigations or examinations of insurers, and shall file such records in the department. (2)  The records and insurance filings in the department shall be open to public inspection, except as otherwise provided by this code. (3)  The director may photograph, microphotograph or reproduce on film, whereby each page will be reproduced in exact conformity with the original except as to dimensions, financial statements of insurers, reports of business transacted in this state by foreign insurers, reports of examination of insurers, and such records and documents on file in his office as he may in his discretion select. (4)  The director may destroy unneeded or obsolete records and filings of the department in accordance with provisions and procedures applicable to administrative agencies of this state in general.
