Idaho Code § 41-1023 — Countersignature Of Policies — Power Of Attorney.

TITLE 41 INSURANCE CHAPTER 10 PRODUCER LICENSING 41-1023. Countersignature of policies — Power of attorney. (1) When the signature or countersignature of a property or casualty producer is required on an insurance contract, or rider or endorsement thereto, the producer shall, except as provided in section 41-337 (1), Idaho Code, and subsection (2) of this section, affix his original written signature thereon. (2)  The property or casualty producer may grant a power of attorney in writing to an individual who is twenty-one (21) years of age or older, authorizing such person to countersign or cause a facsimile of the agent’s signature to be placed on policies and endorsements in his name and on his behalf. The power of attorney shall be acknowledged by the agent under oath before a notary public and shall be kept on file in the agent’s office.
