Idaho Code § 40-2104 — Purpose Of Authority.

TITLE 40 HIGHWAYS AND BRIDGES CHAPTER 21 REGIONAL PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY 40-2104. Purpose of authority. The purpose of an authority created pursuant to this chapter is to establish a single governmental agency oriented entirely toward public transportation needs within each county or region that deems such an agency necessary. This authority, a political subdivision of the state of Idaho, is under the supervision of and directly responsible to local governments, and shall provide public transportation services, encourage private transportation programs and coordinate both public and private transportation programs, services and support functions.
