Idaho Code § 40-1919 — Junkyards As Public Nuisances.

TITLE 40 HIGHWAYS AND BRIDGES CHAPTER 19 BEAUTIFICATION OF HIGHWAYS 40-1919. Junkyards as public nuisances. For the purpose of promoting the public safety, health, welfare, convenience and enjoyment of public travel, to protect the public investment in public highways, and to preserve and enhance the scenic beauty of lands bordering public highways, it is declared by the legislature of the state of Idaho to be in the public interest and for a highway purpose to regulate and restrict the establishment, operation and maintenance of junkyards in areas adjacent to highways on interstate and primary systems within the state. The legislature finds and declares that junkyards that are not in compliance with the provisions of this chapter are public nuisances.
