False Statement By Commission Merchant, Broker, Agent, Factor Or Consignee To Principal Or Consignor

TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS CHAPTER 31 FALSE PRETENSES, CHEATS AND MISREPRESENTATIONS 18-3105. False statement by commission merchant, broker, agent, factor or consignee to principal or consignor. Every commission merchant, broker, agent, factor or consignee who shall wilfully and corruptly make, or cause to be made, to the principal or consignor of such commission merchant, agent, broker, factor or consignee, a false statement concerning the price obtained for, or the quality or quantity of any property consigned or entrusted to, such commission merchant, agent, broker, factor or consignee, for sale, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof shall be punished by fine not exceeding $300.00, or by imprisonment in the county jail not exceeding six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
