1-6D-2: DUTIES:
The mayor and/or city clerk are hereby authorized to swear in a deputy city clerk/treasurer and senior deputy city clerk/treasurer to perform, during the absences of the city clerk/treasurer, those duties of the city clerk/treasurer as the mayor or city clerk/treasurer directs him/her to perform.
