ORDINANCE NO. 971

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO, AMENDING SECTION 1-5-2, MEETINGS OF THE COUNCIL, SUBSECTION A, EAGLE CITY CODE, TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE COUNCIL, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council desire to increase the number of monthly regular Council meetings;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAGLE, IDAHO.

Section 1: That Section 1-5-2(A) MEETINGS OF THE COUNCIL, Eagle City Code, be, and is hereby amended, in part, with the underlined text added and the strikethrough text deleted to read as follows::

A. Time And Place: The time and place of the regular Council meetings shall be held at the Eagle City Hall on the second, third and fourth Tuesdays of each month, at five thirty o'clock (5:30) P.M. of said day.

Section 3: All prior ordinances or parts thereof, to the extent inconsistent herewith, are hereby repealed and shall, to the extent of such inconsistency, have no further force or effect. 

Section 4: This Ordinance shall be published once in the official newspaper of the City, and shall take effect June 1, 2026.
