2-7-7: REAL ESTATE TO VEST IN CITY:
The title of all property, real and personal, now owned or hereafter acquired by purchase, gift, devise, bequest or otherwise, for the purpose of the library and reading rooms, when not inconsistent with the terms of its acquisition, shall vest in the City, and in the name of the City may be sued for and defended by action at law or otherwise. (1952 Code § 2-04-07)
