ORDINANCES-FAILURE OF MAYOR TO APPROVE
SECTION 49.5. All ordinances, resolutions and authorizations for the payment of money, passed by the common council of Boise City, shall be transmitted by the city clerk to the mayor within 12 hours after their passage or approval. If the mayor does not approve such resolution, authorization for the payment of money, or any ordinance so transmitted, he must, within three days from the receipt thereof, return the same to the city clerk with his reason in writing for not approving the same, who shall transmit such ordinance, resolution or authorization, together with the mayor's reasons for disapproving the same, to the common council at or prior to its next regular meeting, and if the mayor does not so return such resolution, authorization or ordinance, the same shall become a law, and shall take effect as if he had approved the same.
