MAYOR-QUALIFICATIONS-DUTIES
SECTION 49.1. The chief executive officer of Boise City shall be designated the mayor. He shall be at least thirty years old, and having had the qualifications of an elector of the municipality for the five years next preceding the day of his election. He shall preside over the council when in session, and shall have authority to preserve order, enforce the rules of the council and determine the order of business, subject to such rules and to appeal to the council. He shall not be entitled to a vote, except in case of a tie, when he shall have the deciding vote.
