OFFICERS-COMPENSATION AND DUTIES
OFFICERS-COMPENSATION AND DUTIES
SECTION 42(40). To provide, either by Boise City, or by its, or some of its, employees and officers, or by both, or by either or both through, with or in cooperation with the state, United States, or governmental, insurance or other agencies or corporations, for unemployment, old age, retirement, disability and death (or any one or more thereof) payments or benefits to some or all city employees and officers, and for the payment, or contributions to the payment, of the cost thereof and for the establishment, accumulation and maintenance of reserves and special funds therefor, and to levy special taxes therefor.
To establish and regulate the fees and compensation and to define the duties of all officers in this municipal corporation. Provided, that no mayor or council can, during their term of office, establish or regulate their own fees and compensation, or the compensation and fees of their successors or any of them within ten days before a general election.
