REGULATION OF USE OF HIGHWAYS
SECTION 42(30). To regulate the use of streets, sidewalks, alleys or other highways and public places; to regulate the transportation of combustibles, explosives or dangerous things through the streets of the city; to prescribe the width of tires on all vehicles, and the weight to be carried thereby; to provide for the preservation of the streets, sidewalks, alleys and other highways.
