COUNCILMEN-SALARY
SECTION 38. Until changed as otherwise provided by this charter, the mayor of Boise City shall receive a salary in the sum of $5,400.00 per year, and each councilman shall receive a salary in the sum of $1,200.00 per year, which said salaries shall be payable monthly. Provided, that no one of them shall be paid such salary, or any part thereof, unless he shall have first made and subscribed a statement under oath that he has not knowingly either voted, advised, consented to, drawn, issued or signed any warrant or indebtedness against any fund or for any purpose, to an amount exceeding the appropriation therefor, except as authorized by this charter.
