CORRUPT PRACTICES

SECTION 27-A. No person shall, in order to aid or promote his own nomination or election to any office under the provisions hereof, directly or indirectly, either by himself or through any other person, give, pay, expend or contribute, promise to give, pay, expend or contribute any money or other valuable thing or service excepting for the production, and distribution of circulars, cards, pamphlets, newspaper articles and other publications whereby he states his position or views upon public questions or any matters relating to the affairs of such municipality, and for the necessary expenses in hiring or renting halls for the purpose of holding public meetings, and for the purpose of procuring radio time to address the voters and others upon question and matters relating to his candidacy, and his stationery, postage, and such other items, and supplies as a candidate may deem necessary in giving publicity and advertising to his candidacy.
