COUNCIL MEMBERS
SECTION 7. The common council shall consist of 4 members, and at the first general municipal election held after January, 1927, there shall be elected on a general ticket four members of the common council, and upon the election and qualification of such members, they shall be divided into two classes of two members each, the first class to serve for a term of two years and the second class to serve for a term of four years each, which division and election shall be made by lot under supervision of the mayor. At each general municipal election thereafter there shall be elected, as hereinbefore provided, two members of the council on such general ticket for a term of four years each, whose term of office shall commence on the first Monday in May succeeding their election and continue for said term of four years and until their successors are elected and qualified.
