CHARTER of BOISE CITY, IDAHO

SECTION 1. That "An Act to incorporate Boise City, in Ada County" (approved Jan. 11, 1866), and the amendatory Acts thereof, including sections 128 to 140, inclusive of the Special and Local Laws of Idaho, and the Acts approved March 12, 1897, February 21, 1899, March 4, 1901, March 11, 1903, February 22, 1907, and March 11, 1909, and all other amendatory Acts thereof, and as said Act approved Jan. 11, 1866, was amended by said amendatory Acts, and in particular sections 2, 7, 9, 14, 18, 29, 37, 38, 41, 42, 48, 56, 61 and 73 of an Act entitled, "An Act to amend an Act entitled 'An Act to incorporate Boise City, in Ada County' (approved Jan. 11, 1866) and to amend an Act entitled "an Act amending the Charter of the City of Boise; amending sections 3, 5 and 9 of an Act incorporating the City of Boise (approved Jan. 11, 1866), being section 130, 132 and 138 of the Special and Local Laws of Idaho" (approved Feb. 21, 1899), and to amend an Act entitled "an Act to amend an Act entitled 'An Act to incorporate Boise city, in Ada County", (approved Jan. 11, 1866) and to amend an Act entitled "An Act to amend sections 3, 5 and 9, of an Act incorporating the City of Boise (approved Jan. 11, 1866) being sections 130, 132, and 138 of the Special and Local Laws of Idaho" (approved Feb. 21, 1899), and thereby prescribe and define the powers and duties of certain officers of said City, and to provide for the assessing and collecting of City taxes by the County Assessor and Tax Collector of Ada County, Idaho" (approved March 4, 1901), and to amend an Act entitled "an Act to amend sections 2 and 6 of an Act entitled an Act to amend an Act entitled "an Act to incorporate Boise City in Ada County" (approved Jan. 11, 1866) and to amend an Act entitled an Act to amend sections 3, 5 and 9 of an Act incorporating the City of Boise (approved Jan. 11, 1866), being sections 130, 132 and 138 of the Special and Local Laws of Idaho" (approved Feb. 21, 1899), and thereby prescribe and define the powers and duties of certain officers of said City, and to provide for the assessing and collecting of City taxes by the County Assessor and Tax Collector of Ada County (approved March 4, 1901), extending and defining the boundaries of Boise City, and providing for the creation and organizations of the fourth ward of Boise City, and for holding a special election therein (approved March 11, 1903), and thereby making provision for the annexation of territory, extending the City boundaries of said City, changing the number, mode of election and length of terms of Councilmen, changing the time of holding City elections, providing method of nominating elective officers, changing the manner of the appointment of City officers and the removal thereof, defining the duties of the Mayor and Council, prescribing penalties for the violating of City ordinances, limiting the levy of taxes and the appropriation of money, enlarging the jurisdiction of the City over nuisances and enlarging the police powers and defining its powers of imposing licenses and taxes and regulating trades, occupations and business, defining the qualifications, powers and duties of City officers, defining the jurisdiction of the City Magistrate and providing a method of appeal, creating an auditing committee, a Sinking Fund Commission and a Board of Public Works, regulating the granting of franchises and the operation thereof, providing for an official City newspaper, providing a method of impeachment of City officers"; as amended by House Bill No. 297, 1909 Idaho Session Laws (approved March 11, 1909), be and the same are amended to read as follows:
