6-16-1: PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Unreasonable and excessive vehicular amplified sounds constitute a hazard to the health, safety, welfare and quality of life of residents of the City. This chapter imposes reasonable limitations and regulations upon amplified sound emanating from excessive engine revving or an amplified sound system on or within a vehicle upon a public street or highway to mitigate the harmful effects of such noise.
