1-14-2: CITY RECORDS, HISTORIC RECORDS, AND ARTIFACTS DECLARED PUBLIC PROPERTY:
All City records, historic records, and artifacts, as defined in this chapter, are hereby declared to be property of the City. No City official or employee has, by virtue of his or her position, any personal or property right to such City records, historic records, or artifacts, even though he or she may have developed or compiled them. The unauthorized destruction, removal from files, or private use of such records is prohibited. (1952 Code § 1-23-02; amd. Ord. 5-26, 3-10-2026)
