5-8-1: DEFINITIONS:
The following terms, phrases, words and their derivations shall have the meanings given herein. When not inconsistent with the context, words in the present tense include the future, words in the plural number include the singular number, and words in the singular number include the plural number. The word "shall" is always mandatory and not merely directory.
ASSEMBLY: A group of persons gathered together at any one time for any purpose.
OCCUPANT LOAD: The total number of persons that may occupy a building, or a portion thereof, at any one time; or the total number of persons that can be accommodated by the seating arrangements of a building, structure, arena, stadium, bleacher or grandstand, or parts thereof; or the maximum seating or maximum live load capacity of said building, structure, arena, stadium, bleacher, grandstand or parts thereof.
PERSON: Any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, company or organization of any kind. (1952 Code § 6-18-01)
