9-13-37: IGCC GREEN CONSTRUCTION CODE AMENDMENT, ADD SECTION 601.1.1, ALTERNATE ON-SITE SOURCES OF WATER:

601.1.1 Alternate On-Site Sources of Water. Alternate On-Site Sources of Water can include rainwater/stormwater harvesting, air conditioner condensate, grey water from interior applications and treated as required, swimming pool filter backwash water, foundation drain water, industrial process water, and on-site wastewater treatment plant effluent. Plumbing for grey water systems from any fixture up to, but not including the exterior irrigation system tank shall be inspected by the Authority Having Jurisdiction. The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (IDEQ) shall have jurisdiction to inspect and approve the installation of exterior irrigation system tank and all piping therefrom to the point of disposal in accordance IDAPA 58.1.03, "Individual/Subsurface Sewage Disposal Rules." Grey water system and design criteria requirements related to irrigation and leaching shall be determined in accordance with the requirements as established by the IDEQ. Where non-potable water is used for a water application, signage shall be provided in accordance with Chapter 16, Part 2, of the Idaho State Plumbing Code.
