1-10D-2: DIRECTOR OF DEPARTMENT:
There is hereby created the Office of Director of Aviation, who shall manage, supervise, superintend and direct the Department of Aviation and all officers, assistants and employees assigned to and employed for the department and its various divisions. The Director of Aviation is commonly referred to as the Airport Director or Airport Administrator, and these terms shall be synonymous with the Director of Aviation. The Director shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council. (1952 Code § 3-02-02; amd. 2019 Code)
