1-6-3: SALARIES:
In accordance with Idaho Code title 50, compensation for the Mayor and City Council members shall be fixed by ordinance at least seventy five (75) days prior to any general City election. Annual salaries are effective January 1 of the following year.
A. Mayor: The annual salary of the Mayor shall be as follows:
1. The Mayor shall receive an annual salary of one hundred fifty- seven thousand sixty dollars ($157,060.00) effective January 1, 2025.
2. The Mayor shall receive an annual salary of one hundred seventy- one thousand one hundred ninety five dollars and forty cents ($171,195.40) effective January 1, 2026.
3. The Mayor shall receive an annual salary of one hundred seventy- eight thousand and forty-three dollars and twenty cents ($178,043.20) effective January 1, 2027.
4. The Mayor shall receive an annual salary of one hundred eighty- three thousand three hundred eighty-four dollars and fifty cents ($183,384.50) effective January 1, 2028.
5. The Mayor shall receive an annual salary of one hundred eighty-eight thousand eight hundred eighty-six dollars ($188,886.00) effective January 1, 2029.
6. The Mayor shall receive an annual salary of one hundred ninety-four thousand five hundred fifty-two dollars and sixty cents ($194,552.60) effective January 1, 2030.
7. The Mayor shall receive an annual salary of two hundred thousand three hundred and eighty-nine dollars ($200,389.00) effective January 1, 2031.
B. Council: The annual salary of each member of the City Council shall be as follows:
1. Each member of City Council shall receive an annual salary of twenty-eight thousand, six hundred nine dollars ($28,609.00) effective January 1, 2025.
2. Each member of the City Council shall receive an annual salary of thirty-one thousand one hundred eighty-three dollars and eighty cents ($31,183.80) effective January 1, 2026.
3. Each member of the City Council shall receive an annual salary of thirty-two thousand four hundred thirty-one dollars and fifteen cents ($32,431.15) effective January 1, 2027.
4. Each member of the City Council shall receive an annual salary of thirty-three thousand four hundred four dollars and ten cents ($33,404.10) effective January 1, 2028.
5. Each member of City Council shall receive an annual salary of thirty-four thousand four hundred six dollars and twenty cents ($34,406.20) effective January 1, 2029.
6. Each member of City Council shall receive an annual salary of thirty-five thousand four hundred thirty-eight dollars and forty cents ($35,438.40) effective January 1, 2030.
7. Each member of City Council shall receive an annual salary of thirty-six thousand five hundred one dollars and fifty-five cents ($36,501.55) effective January 1, 2031.
C. Acting Mayor: Whenever any member of the City Council assumes the Office of Mayor during the Mayor's absence, that Council member shall receive an additional two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) per day while so acting.
D. Presiding Over Meetings or Events: Whenever any member of the Council presides over a regular or special City Council meeting, or other official event, in lieu of the Mayor, as an official that is not a regularly scheduled part of their duties, such Council member shall receive an additional two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) per day in performance of those duties.
E. Incidental Expenses: The Mayor and each member of City Council shall receive one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) per month to be used for incidental expenses, including in-town travel, meetings and cellular phone use.
F. Benefits: The Mayor and City Council may receive benefits in accordance with Idaho Statute and City policy.
