8-2-16: LIMITED OFFICE (LO):
A. Purpose: The Limited Office (LO) District promotes the public health, safety, and welfare of Ada County by encouraging commercial uses primarily inside areas of impact to implement the applicable comprehensive plans that are adopted as part of the area of impact agreements. The Limited Office (LO) District may also be established outside areas of impact on a limited basis. The intent of this district is to provide separate and distinct allowed commercial uses based on the availability of urban public facilities, surrounding land uses, and the applicable comprehensive plan designation for the area. This district provides administrative, professional, medical, and business office uses that complement the surrounding residential areas, accommodates the limited sale of convenience goods and personal services for daily living needs of the immediate neighborhood, limits larger developments to arterial streets away from intersections or gateway locations, and allows for limited housing options such as multi-family dwellings.
